The MISSION of Joy in the Camp Ministries is to bring the promise of hope, healing, wholeness and balance to persons experiencing the brokenness of life.
The VISION of Joy in the Camp Ministries is to expand our services of spiritual care and wellness, to come along side veterans who have experience the horrors of war and are struggling with suicidal thoughts, to encourage ex-felons who are reentering society, and provide a listening ear to young men and women who just need a place to talk.
Chaplain Nelson has 50+ years of volunteer ministry including Military, Vets, Red Cross, Armed Forces YMCA, San Diego OES, and Prison Ministry. Chaps currently volunteers as the Pacific Region Chaplain, Emeritus for the Civil Air Patrol, USAF Aux, while supporting other agencies and individuals.
